SYLLABUS
The objective of this course: yoga is
becoming popular day by day. A wave
of yoga is sweeping across the globe.
To introduce yoga as a science of holistic
living and not merely as yoga postures,
Sankalpa has been offering this course
over the last 6 years all over the globe
with great attendant benefits. At the
conclusion of this course, the students
will be able to teach yoga to general
public the holistic way, to prevent
diseases, promote positive health and
bring harmony and peace in the society.
Theory:
Introduction to Yoga and its Streams.
Concept of yoga, definitions of yoga
according to Patanjali, Bhagavadgita,
The four main streams of yoga: Jnana,
Bhakti, Raja and Karma Yoga; a brief
glimpse into each of these streams;
Indian Culture, Life and message of
Applications of yoga in modern life.Indian
culture and its foundations; Applications
of yoga in the fields of health, education,
management, arts, music, physically,
mentally and socially deprived persons,
etc.
Practice:
Yogasanas,Sithilikarana vyayama, suryanamaskar
and standing, sitting, prone and supine
yogasanasa; comparison between static
and dynamic asanas. Yoga chart. Pranayama,
Meditation, Devotional Music And Kriyas.
Breathing practices, the anuloma viloma,
bhastrika, sensitizing pranayama, cooling
pranayama and resounding pranayama practices.
Introduction to Om;
introduction to simple bhajans, dhuns,
namavalis, etc. trataka, kapalabhati,
neti, vaman dhouti and agnisara kriyas.
Teaching Techniques, Karma Yoga and
report.
Starting Dates: 1st of every month
Elgibility: Minimum 10th Class Pass,
Medium : English
Registration:
Send proof of the qualification (Education
certificate) , 2 Passport size photos
and the application form (Read the instructions
carefully and decide before submitting
the application) signed by the applicant.
Donation
made to Sankalpa Yoga and Natural Health
Centre, are exempted from Income Tax
under section 80G of income tax act
1961.
